Personal Fitness Evaluation:

A Personal Fitness Evaluation is a composite of tests that evaluate:

  • Body composition - Bod Pod®
  • Cardiovascular fitness - a one-mile walk test or 1.5 mile jog
  • Muscular strength - hand grip
  • Muscular endurance - sit ups & curl ups
  • Flexibility - sit-and-reach 

Pre-Test Instructions:

  • Do not eat food 2-3 hours prior to testing
  • Do not exercise on the day of testing or wait until after your evaluation
  • Wear comfortable clothing and be prepared to exercise
  • Bring the following or wear under your clothing (for the Bod Pod)

Women: A swimsuit or spandex shorts and sports bra
Men: Spandex shorts or Speedo type swim suit
