Hotel Information

The National Institute for Fitness and Sport is located on the Indiana University - Purdue University at Indianapolis (IUPUI) campus just a few blocks west of downtown Indianapolis. There are many downtown hotels available; University Place Hotel, the Marriott Downtown, Marriott Courtyard at the Capitol and the Residence Inn Downtown on the Canal are within 5 - 10 minutes walking distance to the Institute.

Below are phone numbers for hotels and airport transportation. Indianapolis is a popular convention city. Several hotels offering less-expensive rates are located around the outskirts of town off the I-465 beltway. It is best to contact major hotel chains or your local AAA office to make arrangements for these accommodations. In most cases, the drive into the downtown IUPUI campus area would be approximately 30 - 45 minutes from the I-465 outer belt.

If traveling by air, the Indianapolis International Airport is located on the west side of town, approximately 20 minutes from the downtown area. Car rental, taxi and hotel limousine service are available from the airport to the downtown area.
