The NIFS Kid‘s Room
Child care is available to children whose parents are utilizing the NIFS Fitness Center. To provide a safe and nurturing environment for your child, we ask you to follow these guidelines:
Ages:
4 months to 10 years old.
Time Limit:
2 hours
Provisions:
Please supply your own diapers, baby wipes, and anything else your child(ren) may need during their visit. Please make sure any toys, bottles and food are clearly marked with your name.
Security:
You will need to leave your driver’s license or picture ID when dropping off your child.
Child Illness/Behavior:
Please do not bring your child if he/she is sick. We reserve the right to turn away any child who might be contagious to others or whose behavior is disruptive.
Cost:
Members: $5.00 per child per visit or $45 per 10-pack.
Non-Members: $8.00 per child per visit or $72 per 10-pack
Hours:
- Monday – Friday: 9 am – 2 pm and 5 pm – 8 pm
- Saturday: 9 am – 2 pm
- We do not offer nursery care on Sundays.
Policies and Procedures for Children and Youth Members
Families Involved Together (F.I.T.)
F.I.T. provides valuable family fitness time for all NIFS members, guests and their children. Under joint supervision of NIFS staff and parents or guardians, youth (3 to 17 years old) will have access to the Fitness Center where age-appropriate equipment and activities will be available. The program is presented in an unstructured, yet supervised format that allows adults and youth to participate in enjoyable activities. NIFS strongly encourages all parents to take advantage of this opportunity to explore active play with their children.
Cost:
Members: $5.00 per child per visit or $45 per 10-pack
Non-Members: $8.00 per child per visit or $72 per 10-pack
Hours:
Saturday and Sunday: 9 am – 2 pm (after 2 pm parent or guardian must sign After Hours waiver).
* Children under the age of 3 need to be in the nursery at all times unless in a stroller or in the arms of a parent or NIFS nursery staff member.

Youth Memberships
Ages:
Youth between the ages of 11 and 17 are eligible for NIFS’s Youth Membership. Children under the age of 11 may be considered for a Youth membeship. Certain restrictions apply. Please contact Kara Tucker, Youth Development Coordinator at 274.3432, ext. 272 or send an email for more information.
Requirements:
Two orientation sessions covering safety, use of equipment and general facility usage are necessary before youth can enjoy full member benefits.
Cost:
Initiation fee is $65 with a monthly membership cost of $7.50 or a yearly cost of $85.
