RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Hire, train & manage housekeeping staff.
- Manage and assist with the maintenance repairs and improvements to the building, equipment and grounds.
- Manage and assist with the housekeeping services in the 125,000 sq. ft. facility.
- Maintain checklists for: 1) Preventative maintenance 2) Housekeeping
- Perform frequent inspections of facility, grounds and equipment.
- Manage and assist with the setup of facilities for meetings, classrooms, conferences, events, etc.
- Manage and assist with stripping, cleaning, buffing and application of floor sealer and floor finish to hard surface floors and vacuuming and cleaning of carpets.
- Use and maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools; buffers, scrubbers, extractors, high pressure washers, high speed buffers and vacuums, brooms, mops and squeegees for the cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls, carpets, furniture, etc.
- Manage and assist with locking and unlocking building: secure building when facilities are not in use checking for unlocked doors, report any unauthorized occupants, turn off lights.
- Make sure all staff follows instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies and use as directed.
- Manage and perform cleaning and related activities such as removing snow or debris from sidewalks and stairs of building using hand-operated tools or small power equipment.
- Manage and move furniture, equipment, supplies and tools on a regular basis.
- Attend to emergencies when necessary.
- Attend safety meetings and other related meetings.
- Take classes as required in cleaning methods and techniques, new products, First Aid, CPR and working relationships.
- Handle recycling materials.
- Safely operate all job-related equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
