NIFS Creates a Culture of Dedication

I appreciate your taking the time to say "thank you" for my particiapation. I have been away from regular exercise over the past three years and have now started to slowly bring myself back.
The experience at NIFS is reflective of the staff, who creates a culture of dedication to physical exercise through attention to detail, friendliness, knowledge of the body and caring. I am 62 years old and do not feel intimidated by staff or members when I show up.
So, I just want you to know that I appreciate the dedication of the staff.

Positive Joining Experience

(about joining) I just wanted to call you and tell you what a positive experience it was for me. Thank you for doing your job so well. I really appreciated such a postiive interaction with no pressure to get crazy packages or a whole bunch of personal training sessions. You were so great and I haven't aways had that experience, so thank you very much. .I'm glad that you're doing what you do.

I Love BOSU!
After moving to Indianapolis in August of 2005, I soon joined NIFS later that winter. In the two and half years of membership, I roamed from class to class, machine to machine without really clicking with my workout routine. I tried many classes during this time period, but never seemed to be able to dedicate myself to the process of physical training. I found it very easy during the winter months to skip out on a great workout, claiming I was too busy or too tired. My attendance and interest in exercise and fitness slipped greatly in the spring of 2008 as I created several excuses to stay home. This downward spiral changed in June as I started attending the BOSU training classes. Due to the tight registration process of securing a ball, I was held accountable to attend training, creating a strict work-out routine three times a week. After about three weeks, I found a new excitement about going to the gym.
Because BOSU training occurs at the same time each week (Tue, Thurs, 6:00, Sun, 1:00), I have devoted these times to training and find myself rearranging my schedule in order to attend class. This is a huge change for me, as I have in the past easily skipped out on a good workout in order to do other things.
I love BOSU training for many reasons. Attending class is so much fun due to the dedication of Tony. He is excited about training and this shows as he teaches and prepares for every class. Not only is he a great teacher, he does an OUTSTANDING job of focusing on the fitness aspect of every activity.
I appreciate his no-fluff approach to training. In the past I found myself searching for a great class, but found myself simply going through the motions simply because I was told to. In BOSU training, every exercise has a purpose to strengthen and tone as well as challenge. Even the most basic BOSU exercises can become difficult with slight adaptations, which Tony demonstrates for each instance. Every time I step onto the BOSU ball, I know I am getting ready to have a great workout!
Attending BOSU training has completely changed my life. I love coming to NIFS now and I have a great fitness routine thanks to Tony and the crew at NIFS. My husband and I attend the classes together and we have enjoyed getting into the best shape of our lives as we have officially become BOSU Ninjas.

Positive Experience
I was at NIFS yesterday and wanted to let you know I had a positive experience with Kristin (I think that is her name). Anyway, I was just finishing up and she asked me how my workout was and what kind of things I did. She then asked if I was bored with my routine and suggested meeting with a NIFS trainer to create a new plan which I thought was quite positive.

Above and Beyond
Would like to give a BIG kudo to Kristen Davis. I came down to find the core and more class canceled. I was frustrated and disappointed. Kristen immediately and without hesitation told me she would give me a workout anyway. What great customer service!! Most people would probably have said "sorry," but Kristen really stepped up and went beyond. Much appreciated!

Valued Advice
Tony is a great trainer and he's a very valuable asset to NIFS, along with the great facilities. He's helped me lose 16 pounds over a somewhat short time period. I really value your concern and I hope that Tony would receive some sort of merit for his efforts to connect with his clients and help them reach their goals. I feel that he has gone above and beyond to help not just me but many others, and he has a passion for his craft, I think that's why I value his advice on my health.

Positive Motivator
Jaime was great. I enjoyed working with him and I like the routine he put together for me (yesterday was my first full workout on his plan and I am SORE today!!! ). He was very positive and motivating and I feel comfortable that if I need more direction or want to change something he'd be more than happy to help.

I have to say that I have retained my membership at NIFS for so long mainly because of Jam! I was so bored of machines and had stopped working out. And, no other class was as exciting and creative as Jam!
Rayelle is an EXCELLENT instructor! Her enthusiasm and energy is hard to beat!
