Weight Loss Membership

NIFS Weight Loss Membership gives you the extra tools you need to take off pounds and keep them off without compromising your health. This program focuses on healthy eating, exercise and accountability.

  • Three personal fitness evaluations per year
  • One resting metabolic rate assessment per year 
  • One 30-minute one-on-one appointment per month with a health fitness specialist
  • Weekly contact with a health fitness specialist
  • Seven consultations with a NIFS dietitian per year
  • Unlimited access to personal training in a small group setting

Hi Thomas, Thought you might find this interesting. The first pic is from August of 2007 and the other pic is from today (2/3/09). I was 240 lbs or so in the older pic and probably around 220 when I came to NIFS in June 2008. Today my weight is hovering around 180 - 185lbs and I am in the shape of my life. I give a lot of credit to you for keeping me motivated - between our regular sessions and the BOSU classes losing almost 60 lbs seems like it should have been harder than it was. Personal Nutrition Coaching (PNC)

A PNC is a comprehensive, individualized, one-on-one consultation that provides you with expert advice from a registered dietitian at NIFS. A computer-generated analysis of your three-day food diary will summarize your intake of fat, protein and carbohydrates, as well as many important vitamins and minerals. Designed with you in mind, a PNC will help you focus on lifestyle changes that are most important to your nutritional goals and needs.

Lite'N Up

Lite'N Up is an 8-week behavior-modification program that provides participants with the tools to select healthy foods and incorporate exercise into their daily lives. Unlike many programs that promote a "quick fix" for weight loss, Lite'N Up encourages gradual changes in attitudes and behaviors related to nutrition, exercise and wellness. By incorporating these changes, participants are able to improve their health and effectively manage their weight.
