Our entire team has been committed to enhancing our already high standards and preparing for a new fitness center environment. While distancing has become part of daily living, staying active and socially connected are now more important than ever.
In phase one of our "Reopening Playbook", NIFS is providing heightened levels of cleaning and disinfecting protocols, limiting capacity throughout the facility, educating, and enforcing a safe environment for everyone. The following plan is set to begin July 1, 2020, and will be updated as new guidance is provided by national, state, and local agencies. Like everything else right now, this plan is subject to change as needed
Before you return to NIFS, please be sure you read all of the following protocols and guidelines so you can be prepared for a great workout experience. If you are in a high risk category for Covid-19 or have heightened concerns, we recommend you not come to the fitness center.
We are using EPA-registered disinfectants which are designated as effective against the COVID-19 virus. Additional staff are present throughout the fitness center to sanitize equipment and high touch surfaces throughout the day. Equipment like bands, mats, and rollers are sanitized after each use. A deep clean and sanitization of all equipment is done after we close each day using an electrostatic spray disinfectant.
Exercise equipment has been spaced 10-12 feet apart for greater distancing during exercise. Equipment has been made unavailable in some instances. Markers and signage is placed throughout the facility to guide members.
A mask or a face covering is required at all times when in the Fitness Center, as mandated by the Marion County Health Department, Public Health. This requirement does not apply to individuals unable to wear a mask or face covering for a physical, medical, or health-related reason, or those who are speaking or hearing impaired. A face shield is an acceptable face covering during exercise
We ask all members to take personal responsibility for their actions. If you are sick, stay home. If you are experiencing symptoms of any illness, please stay home. If you are in a high risk category please stay home.
Please note the new guidelines for entering the building. These include:
IF YOU ARE NOT FEELING WELL OR HAVE RECENTLY EXPERIENCED FEVER, COUGH, FLU-LIKE SYMPTOMS, SHORTNESS OF BREATH OR DIFFICULTY BREATHING PLEASE DO NOT ENTER THE BUILDING.
